The course of advanced European Union Law focuses on the study of private and procedural international EC law which, after the commununitarization of part of the third pillar carried out by the Treaty of Amsterdam, enumerates many legislative acts. Much attention will be dedicated to European family Law, analysing the main acts, among which, in particular, 2201/2003 regulation and 4/2009 regulation about maintenance obligations. The course is aimed at giving a complete frame of the development of Community competence in this field and, more generally, in the area of free movement of people and family reunification, both of the European and third-country citizen. Part of the course will be dedicated to the investigation of another topic of private EC law.
