The Internet has frequently been considered as intrinsically free from regulation, a place where liberty, freedom of expression, sharing, creativity and mutual inspiration would be assured by the very nature and architecture of the networked environment. Against this “dream of soaring” and unfettered liberty, there is the reality of different interests that are increasingly dominating the world. There is no internationally recognized legal definition of the terms “computer crime” or “computer related crime” or “cybercrime”. At the terminological level, the terms “Internet-crime” and “Cybercrime” have increasingly been used. The book contains works of important Authors and Experts to obtain a comprehenisve understanding in the fight against cybercrime, at substantive criminal law and procedural criminal law level. The introduction not only describes the content of the book, but also analyzes the definition of cybercrime, taking into account the Cybercrime Convention and the competence in penal matter of the European Union after the Treaty of Lisbon.
