The course is meant to offer an in-depth examination of the logical-argumentative processes that characterize the legal discourse. Specific attention will be paid to reflecting on how judicial decisions are formed and motivated with reference both to the facts of the case and to the interpretation the applicable of legal sources.
The course is articulated in two different modules: the first is dedicated to a critical study of legal hermeneutics; the second features an analysis of models of rational argumentation.
