My name is Maria Federica Merotto. Since 2021 I have lectured in Roman Foundations of Private Law at the University of Verona. I have published and lectured on area of both Roman and contemporary law. In particular, my research has hinged on the following themes: agreements as to future succession, sale of inheritance, mandatum post mortem, the prostitutes’ body in Roman Law, law and literature, ager compascuus, delicta militum, consumer right, res iudicata, reverse mortgage. I have recently participated in research teams dedicated to the study of: Roman criminal law (Principi e vitalità del diritto penale romano); Roman and European legal tradition (Atlas of ideas); Law, history and the human body: (Per una storia giuridica del corpo umano).
