Curriculum

Isabella Zambotto has lectured in Public Roman Law (since AY 2022-2023) and Roman Foundations of Liability System (since AY 2024-2025). In addition, she has been involved in teaching labs directed to 'Moot Court Competition' (since AY 2015-2016 Factum&Ius; since AY 2020-2021 The Great Trials in Human History) at the Department of Law - University of Verona.

She has published and lectured on area of both Roman and contemporary law. In particular, her researches have hinged on 'nexum', 'imaginaria venditio', 'res corporales-res incorporales', 'res nullius in bonis', 'fideicommissum', error, pre-contractual liability, sales Law.

She has recently partecipated in research teams dedicated to the study of Roman and European legal tradition (@ROOT - Atlas of Roman Origins of Our Legal Tradition); D&A - Diritto e azione: un 'Atlante' delle idee giuridiche della tradizione romanistica; money in Roman law; Human Body (Law, History and the Human Body); Roman criminal law (Principles and Vitality of Roman Criminal Law).

Since 14.5.2025 she has been a research fellow (RTDA) in Roman Law and Foundation of European Law at the Department of Private Law and Critique of Law - University of Padua.

Atlas of ideas - Atlante delle idee della tradizione giuridica europea
La finalità del Gruppo di ricerca è l’analisi critica del patrimonio culturale pandettistico e della sua rielaborazione successiva, attraverso l’esposizione critica delle idee concettualizzate partendo dal Corpus iuris civilis, nonché il vaglio del suo impiego per descrivere il presente, e della sua utilità per il futuro. In particolare, il Team, nell’ambito della sua ricerca, intende affrontare tali problemi dalla specola delle categorie processuali e sostanziali di tradizione romanistica.
